Soul Reflections is a documentary style photography company based in the PNW. We started out as a simple idea: What if, instead of staging "picture perfect" moments, we captured the beauty of a wedding as it naturally unfolds?


We believe that the job of a wedding photographer is to blend into the background, barely noticeable, all while observing each moment as it happens. Yes, this includes the first kiss, but it also includes subtle moments that are traditionally missed, like a hug between grandparents, or a flower girl practicing her routine before she walks down the aisle.

Hey, I'm Tristan

While I've been taking photos practically my whole life, I originally never really planned on being a wedding photographer. To me, wedding photographers were the people hauling around a truck load of gear, lighting and huge lenses, commanding the timeline of a wedding as if it were the set of a feature film.


Then I discovered the art of documentary style photography. I've always been the quiet observer, noticing the small details in every moment. My goal is always to remain unobtrusive, blending into the background and allow your wedding to unfold as it naturally does. I use natural light and fast, prime lenses to keep my footprint to a minimum, as well as to capture the day in a real, authentic fashion.
